Arts & Health is a pioneering international group for applied and best practices research in the interdisciplinary field of the arts, health, and engineering. We focus on the ways in which the arts contribute to health and well-being, with applications in nonconventional therapy for individuals with physical or mental health disorders, but we are also interested in preventative medicine (preventative therapies for the nonclinical population). Our group includes Educators, Artists, Health Care Professionals, and researchers in Arts and Applied Electronics, Neuroaesthetics, Bioengineering, Biomedical Signal Processing, and Data Science.
Exploring the uses of the arts in fostering better public health, health care, therapy, and rehabilitation, our group engages with the following areas of interest:
- Arts and heath-based research methodologies
- Medical science research relevant to neuroaesthetics, the arts, health, and engineering
- The role of the arts in health care and therapy
- Promoting better health through arts-based therapies
- Illness prevention and monitoring through arts-based methods and innovative medical devices

- Aesthetic experience and healthcare
- The arts and innovative biometric/biomedical signal processing in clinical practice (including physical and mental health)
